- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I’ve lived in Clitheroe for about 55 years. Once upon a time the chemists displayed notices saying where and when a pharmacy was open for emergency prescriptions. But today, on a search on behalf of a friend with the ever-popular all-night cough, I started with the Advertiser. There might have been information, but it was well hidden. Then the websites. Boots: A definite ‘Closed’. Pharmacy: nothing, just the weekly opening hours. Lloyds: open at 11.00. So I arrived at Lloyds at 12.10 – closed. Were they open 11 to 12 ? Why not say on the website ? Why couldn’t Lloyds, Boots and the Pharmacy display this information prominently in their windows and on their websites ? Thank you Tesco (and I guess Booths, Lidls and Sainsburys) for supplying various potions.by Dennis OgdenMarch 29, 2017
